Within the Epilepsy Department, you will be part of a family of caregivers committed to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies and surgical treatment options. **A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 11:00AM - 11:00PM and 7:00PM - 7:00AM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Gather data using closed circuit audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording instruments. + Utilize electrophysiological recording instruments using both surface recording electrodes and electrophysiological recording instruments. + Perform record keeping data using the computer and maintain daily logs of patients' status. + Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association + One year experience as a non-registered EEG Technician irst year completion of Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics + American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) credentialing for Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) within two years of hire Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + First year completion of Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics may substitute for one year experience as a non-registered EEG Technician + Two years direct patient care experience may substitute for Associate's Degree Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
