Mortgage Processor III
**CTG is seeking to fill a Mortgage Processor III opening for our client in Ballston Lake, NY.** **Location:** Ballston Lake, NY (This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days in the office) **Duration:** 12 months **Overview:** We are seeking a seasoned Mortgage Processor III with strong analytical skills to assess conventional and government loan requests. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of product, underwriting, and investor guidelines, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and the SAFE Act’s federal registration requirements. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Maintain effective communication with all necessary parties involved in the loan application process (customers, brokers, loan officers, etc.) to ensure a seamless and positive experience. + Work with internal departments and external organizations to obtain documentation and necessary information to complete the application, including verification of employment, IRS transcripts, title search, appraisal, and bank statements. + Immediately notify all parties of irregularities relative to standard mortgage guidelines. + Monitor, update, and analyze credit reports, appraisals, income documentation, and all verifications to ensure compliance with product, underwriting, and investor guidelines. + Perform additional administrative duties including preparing and mailing commitment letters, reviewing title and homeowner's insurance, mailing loan suspend notices, providing closing attorneys with required documentation, and ensuring all applicable processing checklists are completed. **Scope of Responsibilities:** + Empowered to review and accept loan conditions based on underwriter requirements. + Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and investor guidelines. **Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:** This role does not have supervisory or managerial responsibilities. **Education and Experience Required:** + Associate's Degree or two years equivalent work experience. + Two to three years of prior mortgage processing or underwriting experience. + Strong mortgage knowledge. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong time management and organizational skills. + Ability to evaluate loan applications, assess qualifications, and make recommendations for restructuring loans or solutions. + Strong analytical and mathematical background to evaluate fee structure changes, allowable fee adjustments, and recreate required regulatory documents. **Education and Experience Preferred:** + Experience working with both conventional and government loan requests. + Previous experience in a similar Mortgage Processor role in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
