This position is remote; however, you must be willing to attend onsite meetings as needed. Applicants can reside in any states where we currently operate, including Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, South Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Florida, Delaware, West Virginia and New Jersey.
Primary Responsibilities
Serves as the direct supervisor to Underwriters within the department Assists Underwriters with daily tasks and questions concerning specific loan applications and loan programs Performs employee reviews, sets goals and performance objectives for each direct report Responsible for training the Underwriters Assists branches with underwriting questions, scenarios and problems specific to the loan files assigned Makes suggestions to the sales team on how to structure or restructure loans and provides suggestions on what can be obtained to satisfy outstanding conditions of the loan approval Underwrite loans as needed Limited job related travel may be requiredQualifications
At least 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience Supervisory experience Experience reviewing Conventional Loans Obtained FHA DE (Direct Endorsed) Underwriting and/or VA credit underwriting / VA LAPP authority Bachelor's degree preferredLife at NVR
