The DE&E Technology Design team thinks beyond what is possible today. They discover, disrupt, and chart a course to where our fans and consumers will be next. Design brings the Disney magic to life by building digital customer experiences via the entire portfolio of both consumer-facing products and internal products and tooling. This includes Sports, Entertainment, News, Streaming and Enterprise Products and Experiences.
Motion Designers within DE&E Technology are tasked with realizing the full articulation of our brands’ personalities and the end-to-end user experience of our fans. The Motion Team crafts prototypes and previsualizations of our product features and user flows; builds large scale and micro animations; translates static designs into dynamic deliverables for our developers; and cultivates new and innovative ways to bring emotion and delight to the Disney and ESPN products.
As a Motion Designer II you are expected to work on projects from the ground up and optimize existing solutions with in-depth knowledge of the latest creative/design trends and technologies. You will be instrumental in helping to crafting best practices for the Motion team and delivering world-class content and experience to our guests and fans. You are expected to collaborate closely with partners and deliver compelling designs with little to no support. You should have a very solid understanding of design and product strategy and are expected to offer creative solutions on a daily basis. This role has a focus on Sports and the ESPN ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
You will collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders to produce compelling deliverables.You will help create motion studies, animations, in-app experiences, promotional material, vision presentations, and other motion work to contribute to all products in our portfolio.You will be required to consider accessibility and meet the requirements to deliver inclusive design.You will work with design team members to produce rapid motion concepts, and user flows.You will be responsible for presenting design work to partners and stakeholders at both small and large scale.You must be the reliable partner and deliver content on-time and up to team standards.Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant experience in Design or related experience.Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or technical degree preferred.You have a vast experience in delivering animations and motion graphics work across many different endpoints.You have a great understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.You are a self-motivated, problem solver with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.You can communicate clearly with product designers and developers.You are hungry for innovation, and eager to challenge the status quo.You have a strong interest in and aptitude for learning new technologies and design skills.You have a strong work ethic, are reliable, adaptable, and work well with others.You have the ability to design within brand guides and contribute to design language.You understand how to design and deliver consistently at scale.You have strong knowledge of design tools such as Figma, After Effect, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, and Rive.You are experienced in delivering all video formats, animated GIFs, Lottie, and .riv files.The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA and Bristol, CT is $104,600 to $140,200 per year, Seattle, WA and New York, NY is $109,500 to $146,800 per year, and in San Francisco, CA is $114,500 to $153,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
