Motor Claims Consultant

We are seeking a talented individual to join our General Claims, JLT Public Sector team at Marsh Australia. This role will be based in Brisbane office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement to attend the Office for the first two weeks for training and then to work at least three days a week in the office or negotiated with the Manager.

The purpose of this role is to provide superior and professional claims service to JLT Claim Services Customers and Stakeholders, whilst utilising the services of external providers (Repairers, Assessors, and Legal representatives). Servicing General claims for motor. The role involves liaising with internal staff, clients, claimants and providers in an administrative capacity via telephone and email.  It is important that you're comfortable working in an office environment with a high level of administration and communication skills both via email and telephone. 

We will count on you to:

Manage and administer new claims, including liaising with Customers, Repairers/Suppliers and Other PartiesUndertake technical claims administration including gathering information, claims determination, preparing correspondence, calculating settlements and processing payments.Liability determination decision making, utilising road rules and group negotiation.Assist, as required, Divisional Manger with the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of claims data.Identify and pursue all opportunities of recovery.Monitor outstanding claims via a diary system to ensure prompt settlement, in line with internal procedures, policies and GICOP requirements, which meet Quality Assurance and service standards.Build and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers and Stakeholders, including Trust Administrators, Fund Managers, JLT Branches, JLT Group Services, Repairers and Assessors.Provide claims support and information and operate in a team environment

What you need to have:

Preferable experience in end-to-end Motor claimsAbility to navigate multiple internal systems whilst adhering to the Privacy Act 2000 Knowledge of Personal Injuries Proceedings Act and Civil Liability Act will be viewed favorably. Knowledge of the recoveries processExcellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
