Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Job Summary
Perform the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of motor transportation equipment and systems, in support of the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program – Philippines (MCPP-PHIL). The MCPP-PHIL Motor Transportation Lead Mechanic will report directly to the MCPP-PHIL Motor Transportation Maintenance Supervisor.
Roles and Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute the performance of motor transportation maintenance functions for MCPP-PHIL and MCPP-PHIL Organic equipment implementing the following:
Perform maintenance actions that follows the contract Statement of Work and adheres to Marine Corps policy and procedures.Coordinate and perform maintenance actions involving repairing, adjusting, servicing, and storing motor transportation equipment and systems. Support equipment readiness, maintenance shop organization, control of maintenance assets and provide advice on all matters relating to motor transportation systems maintenance. Review invoices and requisitions to plan work activities. Train mechanics to properly complete all maintenance functions. Inventory repair parts and equipment and requisition replacement stock.Provide/review requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies.Comply with personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and government regulations.Comply with established safety regulations, and method and procedures for handling and storing various equipment and materials.Comply with MCPP-PHIL ISO policies and procedures, work specifications, and time schedules.Interpret specifications, drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts.Perform other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications
Associate degree and/or coursework towards a BS degree in mechanical engineering or another related field.In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, professional certification, formalized training, or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.Five years of progressive experience with specialized knowledge of maintenance and logistic support activities involving motor transportation systems maintenance, including one year in a supervisory capacity involving various aspects of cost/schedule controls, performance monitoring, report writing, program planning and customer interface.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must possess a valid state Motor Vehicle Drivers’ License.Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.Must be able to obtain a work visa and Alien Employment Permit for the Philippines.Applicants must be able to pass an FBI Background investigation with no criminal, civil, or security violations.Preferred Qualifications
USMC MOS 3521.Understanding of Marine Corps policies, regulations, and orders.Industry Certification.Automation and Scripting.Working knowledge of military storage procedures.Expert knowledge of general maintenance procedures for military tactical equipment and supplies.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.KBR Benefits
