Wolverine is currently seeking Motor Vehicle Mechanic to support the EAGLE LSS Contract in Fort Cavazos, TX. Responsibilities The Motor Vehicle Mechanic repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems. In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Qualifications Must have a minimum of 2 years of motor vehicle maintenance experience. Must be knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1. Must have the ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening. Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED. Must have the ability to bring and use your own tools. Must be able to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result. Must meet the following physical requirements to include (but not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. Desired Qualifications: 3-5 year’s maintenance experience preferred. US Army MOS 91/63 series qualification. Experience on US Army tactical vehicles. CDL Preferred. Valid Driver's License. Pay Rate: Hourly Compensation: $21.67.
