DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As the Motor Vehicle Program Inspector, your main responsibility will be to organize and conduct audits of inspection stations. These audits will help ensure that all regulations, statutes, and protocols within the safety inspection program are being followed. During these audits, you will play a crucial role in identifying and reporting any fraudulent activity.
Additionally, you will need to efficiently handle a large number of cases, provide guidance to program inspectors, and oversee the daily operations in a specific geographic region. Additionally, you will conduct investigative audits, both overt and covert, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies. Furthermore, this position involves investigating complaints from both law enforcement and customers regarding vehicle inspections.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch
+ This position may require flex time and overtime.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Two years of experience in an automotive repair related field such as: service writer/advisor; technical manual writer; automotive tool and equipment salesman/serviceman; auto mechanic; or auto shop foreman and a high school diploma;or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
+ This position requires possession of a Pennsylvania Safety Mechanics Certification within 90 days of the date of employment.
Additional Requirement:
+ You must possess a Class C non-commercial driver's license.
+ This position is assigned to: Bradford, McKean, Potter and Tioga Counties. The selected candidate must reside in one of the assigned counties or one of the following: Cameron, Clinton, Lycoming, or Sullivan, or must be willing to relocate to this area.
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.
