Experience using Bosch Motorsport, Motec, Cosworth and Mclaren hardware and software. Proficiency in C#, Python, MATLAB, VBA, or an equivalent programming language. Exposure to motorsport or aerospace wiring practices. Formula SAE experience very highly preferred. Experience with setup and editing of AVL Puma parameter sets (SYS, PAL, UUT, TST). Proficiency in AVL scripting (Indicorn, Concerto, CalcGraf). Familiarity with AVL reporting tools. Strong understanding of signal processing (sampling, conditioning, filtering). Strong overall knowledge of vehicle and powertrain functions. Experience with AVL Puma, AVL Concerto, AVL Indicom or equivalent powertrain testing software. Understanding of basic data acquisition principles, sensor types, CAN bus architecture, and general automotive electronics. Possess a competitive spirt, can-do attitude, and interest in professional and amateur Motorsports at a technical level. Strong team player, ability to work with multiple suppliers, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with high responsibility. What you'll do…
Steady state and transient test cycle creation (race simulation, calibration automation, performance benchmarking, etc…). Perform gasoline engine calibration and controls development on engine only and full driveline dynamometer test cells. Develop new standards for software, calibration and hardware signoff. Manage instrumentation and data acquisition systems across multiple test cells and engine platforms. Schedule test cell upgrades, engine changes and hardware durability. Report generation, data management, data storage and documentation of all testing. Manage engine sign offs for customer race engines.
