Job Summary
Are you an energetic and compassionate person that finds it rewarding to assist people in their time of need? The available position resembles that of a Professional Furniture Mover. However, our customers typically were not planning on engaging our services. Instead, our customer’s belongings have been impacted by fire, flood, mold, vehicle impact and a variety of other traumatic events and our customer’s typically find that they need our assistance suddenly and unexpectedly.
Responsibilities
Assess, inventory and prepare customer belongings for safe transport. Properly scan (utilizing software application) boxes and furniture, move the boxes and furniture safely from job site to truck and then transport them to our facility. Inventory and load boxes and furnishings into storage vaults at our facility. Complete daily paperwork, obtain customer’s signature on documents as needed, Maintain the “Five S’s”: Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain at our facility. May clean, deodorize and / or disinfect the customer’s property. Inventory, load and deliver the customer’s belongings to them after they have been restored. Protect structural surfaces and contents from becoming damaged during pack-out and pack-back of the customer’s belongings. Assist with warehouse duties, cleanliness of warehouse, cleanliness of vehicles and other tasks as needed.Compensation

We also acknowledge that not everyone comes to us with these skills. That’s why we put each specialist—those with or without training—through an in-depth and comprehensive training program. Each Blue Kangaroo PACKOUTZ member learns the entire contents restoration process while honing in on their specific moving, cleaning or restoration skills. It’s all a part of our ongoing support and training experience.
