MPD Field Specialist / Supervisor Level - IV

 

Job Overview

Weatherford, a leading provider in the Oil and Gas Drilling Exploration industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MPD Field Supervisor to join our team. This hands-on role utilizes the latest technologies to deliver solutions to our clients. It is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of our operations while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. The Field Supervisor will not only provide direction to junior field specialists but will also use their extensive knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, making recommendations to alter development and designs to improve the quality of products and procedures. They will act as the key interface with the client at the well site, carrying out the duties and responsibilities for completing service assignments and managing other Weatherford personnel at the well site. 

Responsibilities:

Participate in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and report any issues promptly using the appropriate tools Monitor and analyze data to recommend services and solutions Perform job planning, preparation of tools & equipment, mobilization, job execution and submits all job-related data, not limited to job reports, WPTS data entry, observation cards while on-site, service tickets or logs with the required signatory, and any other documents required to successfully invoice the client within an acceptable time. Available on 24 hours call basis to respond to customer needs. Test, operate & maintain MPD tools & equipment as per work instructions, according to policies & procedures in safe and presentable working conditions Develop and maintain a positive relationship with clients Responsible for delivering superior Service Quality to the client Effectively manage inventory and supplies required at the well site Follow up failures with the R&M team and ensure failure reports are closed with clients Contribute, participate or lead equipment failure investigations that support Root Cause Analysis reports Oversee, lead and mentor Field Operation crew members Perform engineering checks while on client location. This may include hand calculations, updates of software computations, or new computations based on the latest data. Act as technical advisor to management and interpret data for client representatives to optimize services Manage the installation of complex equipment and/or services in the field

 

Skills & Knowledge:

Fundamentals of Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics Mathematics, basic Physics and Chemistry Mechanical ability necessary to perform repairs Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel computer skills Self-motivated and autonomous individual Good oral and written communication skills Able to work closely with fellow employees

 

Education & Experience:

Required: 10 years related field experience  Required: High school diploma as a minimum. Preferred college degree Preferred: Technical certificate from accredited Technical/Vocational school
