Research Assistant to Visiting Prof. Jennifer Robson, providing research support to a project on the policy case and design for individual learning accounts for working-age adults in Canada.

Working under the supervision of Dr. Robson, the successful MPP Student will be expected to produce an annotated bibliography and brief descriptive summaries of the following pre-selected examples of learning account and account-like programs for adult learning in each:

Periodic meetings (online or in person) with Dr. Robson will also be required to confirm project research expectations and milestones and to review progress. This research is in support of a planned publication with the Institute for Research on Public Policy. Depending on performance, a successful candidate may also be credited with a co-authorship on the study.

Estimated Weekly Hours: 8

Total Estimated Contract Hours: 40

Hourly Rate: $30/hour

Total Estimated Contract Pay: $1,200

Qualifications:

Must be a current graduate student in the Max Bell School of Public Policy MPP ProgramCapable of reading and interpreting policy and evaluation documents in both English and French. Excellent writing skills (in English) and a capacity to synthesize information are also requiredExperience in international comparative policy analysis is a strong assetInterest in the subject matter is preferred
