An exciting opportunity for a Lead Design Engineer has arisen supporting the Boeing MQ-25 development program has arisen. This opportunity comes with a fast-paced team environment where everybody is empowered to take personal accountability for their work while acting with empathy and integrity. As the Lead Design Engineer, you will lead analysis and testing of control system hardware to support the qualification of the AE 3007N suite of Controls components for the MQ-25 program. In this role, you will interact directly with the customer (Boeing and Navy) while managing design-make suppliers to agreed contract deliverables. Travel up to 10% domestically may be required as part of this role.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for review and approval of key technical documents in support of the AE 3007N controls environmental qualification effort for the MQ-25 program which includes support of verification testing performed by contracted Supplier Engineered Equipment suppliersCoordinate efforts between the project, design, purchasing, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure that the MQ-25 program needs are met through the execution of the work packages to plan and risks are identified and managed in accordance with the risk management planDevelop technical inputs to engine proposals in support of business captureLead technical discussions with the customer on a weekly basis to assure technical alignment, manage technical risk and execute to planOpinion leader within the MQ-25 team and the broader AE Defense team to promote a high-performance culture rooted in emotional intelligence

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience, ORMaster's degree in Engineering, ORJD/PhDIn be considered for this role you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with control systems hardware design (sensors, valves, pumps, control units, etc.)Experience with technical supplier management and root cause analysis and other problem-solving techniquesKnowledge of RTCA/DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 environmental testing standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
