What You’ll Be Doing
As a Tech@Lilly Manufacturing and Quality Global Telecom Analyst, you will work under the guidance of MQ ITOT Architect and collaborate with the MQ and Enterprise Network/Telecom Architects, site engineers and architects, security architects, and others to help design and drive the implementation of network architecture for new manufacturing sites, as well as for expansion of existing manufacturing sites focusing on consistency and standardization across sites to the extent possible. You will use your technical expertise, analytical skills, and leadership abilities to create components for Lilly manufacturing networks, help evaluate different technologies, and work closely with other members of the IT team to ensure that the network systems are implemented correctly and effectively, and represent manufacturing area where troubleshooting in collaboration with various stakeholders are needed.
How You’ll Succeed
Understanding, gathering, and documenting requirements for networking solutions design, development, and implementation of those requirements via service provider to address business needs.Work with cross-functional teams in different regions to understand telecom needs and ensure effective solutions are implemented and those solutions are working as expected.Must be able to collaborate with manufacturing sites, MQ Global, and Enterprise Teams to resolve any technical challenges.Must consider security and privacy risks and collaborate with enterprise connectivity team to design telecom systems that are secure and protect company data.Must be able to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and be able to influence decisions or technical directions.Must be able to stay up-to-date with new technologies and evaluate which ones are best suited for the organization's needs.What You Should Bring
Experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, or other large scale highly networked and automated manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of Purdue Model Framework for network segmentation.Experience with identifying system requirements, such as performance, scalability, security, compatibility, interoperability, stability, usability and ensure that these requirements are met within the overall system architecture.Hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies related to transport, LAN, WAN/SDWAN, Firewall, DNS/DHCP, network monitoring, and network security.Demonstrable experience in tools such as Logic Monitor, Infoblox, Firemon, ORDR, Zscaler, StealthWatch or similar technologiesDemonstrated experience in networking platforms/tools from key vendors, such as Cisco, Gigamon, PaloAlto, Juniper network,etc.Demonstrable experience in doing external benchmarking of available networking solutions and utilizing current and cutting-edge technologies to build integrated network solutionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and articulate complex technical concepts, and be able to influence others.Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Some experience in agile and LEAN methodology in execution and desire to further learn and implement the new ways of working using these methodologies.Very strong bias for action while maintaining quality and safety as foundational components in such actions.Your Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 3+ years of experience working in designing network for enterprise, including manufacturing sites in a segmented network architectureExtensive knowledge and experience with networking tools and technologies, such as switches, routers and other networking/firewall tools/platformsCertification on relevant technologies is a big plus.About the Organization -
