RESPONSIBILITIES:

Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.Review and disposition scrap castings and customer returns.Prepare scrap castings for revert.Review miscellaneous scrap reason code rejects and rework.Inspect casting to determine possible rework method needed to return to a conforming status.Initiate the shipment of rework to be performed by an outside source.Re-inspect castings to determine rework was complete and successful.Record all work performed in Lot Control & AQCS.Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor.

 

Wall Inspection (Preferred Experience):

Perform system capability checks specified in inspection procedures.Read and interpret thickness measurements with reference to applicable Quality Engineering instructions.Set up equipment and follow calibration procedures.Establish technique to ensure an accurate and complete inspection of part per Quality Engineering Instructions.Organize, report and maintain records for the ultrasonic inspection results.

 

Dimensional Inspection (Preferred Experience)

Inspects castings for conformance to Blueprint and QEI specifications using templates, micrometers, gauges, calipers, and other dimensional measuring devices.Marks castings to identify areas needing rework in order to meet dimensional specifications.Performs rework as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in Finishing and Visual Inspection required.Maintain applicable internal certification per individual assignment.Knowledge of inspection operations (FPI, Grain, X-Ray, and Dimensional) a plus.Ability to work well with people.Meet or exceed defined Visual Acuity and Color perception (when required).3-5 years applicable inspection experience preferred. /*generated inline style */   All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. /*generated inline style */ This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
