MRI Technologist | Medical Center

Job Description Summary:

Be a part of a dynamic team of MRI professionals that operate state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment. Logan Health Medical Center houses 5 MRI scanners ( Three 3-Tesla scanners and Two 1.5-Tesla scanners) providing comprehensive MRI services that include, Cardiac, Breast/Breast Biopsy, Prostate, Functional, Perfusion, and Enterography MRI procedures.
This position utilizes noninvasive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology to take images, which are used to diagnose, evaluate, and treat a variety of medical issues.

$10,000 Sign-on Bonus
Pay range $33.15 - $49.75 per hour depending on experience

Qualifications:

Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)(MR) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or by American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) certification required.

ARRT-certified Technologist requirements:

Registered in Magnetic Resonance (MR) by ARRT or must successfully obtain Magnetic Resonance (MR) by ARRT within eighteen (18) months of hire.

Montana State Radiologic Technologist License as required by law.

ARMRIT-certified Technologist requirements:

Certified through American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) and provide proof of certification upon hire.

Must maintain ARMRIT certification.

To be eligible for the Driver portion of the position: 

Current Driver’s License required. 

Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e; DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.).

In addition, personal vehicles used for LH business:

State law minimum liability coverage limits required.

Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Job Specific Duties:

Accurately performs beginning and end of day duties as defined in department procedures and as applicable to assigned area(s). Responsible for stocking assigned areas and assists with supply outdates.

Exhibits proper radiation and/or magnet safety as appropriate to the assigned area(s). 

Accurately reports all malfunctioning equipment and/or errors per department protocol.  Documents safety related issues and outcomes.

Obtains patient history, reason for procedure, and other exam related information. Evaluates information to ensure appropriate scan and proper diagnosis. Communicates any questions or concerns per department protocol.

Responsible for patient preparation related to the exam. Exhibits proper venipuncture techniques, and I-stat competencies, etc.

Provides the patient with follow-up exam information and post exam procedures.

Responsible for reviewing orders, prior exams, labs and patient history per department standards.  Accurately completes appropriate documentation related to exam.

Driving portion of this position: Drives vehicle to various service locations in a safe and timely manner and per assigned area(s) procedure and protocol.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
