Sentara Port Warwick in Newport News, VA, is currently hiring an MRI Technologist for a Full Time Weekend Day Shift.

Job Description:

Perform MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers

Maintain adequate supply inventory for performing examinations.

Explains examination and procedure to patient, and completes departmental documentation.

Hours:

Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 8:30am - 9pm

Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program OR Graduate of 24 month program in radiologic technology required in lieu of experience. 

License/Certification: CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT is required. Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire.

Preferred Experience: One (1) year experience in a Rad Tech position to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound preferred. Six (6) months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program.
