MRI Technologist
As the MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies. Insures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, it trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc. + Produces high quality diagnostic images. + Orders supplies, cleans units, assists in preparing for transport on a daily basis. + Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists. + Trains new technologists and/or PCs. EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE: Required: + High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience + ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT. + State license, if applicable. + CPR Certification + Valid state driver’s license, as applicable. + Technologists registered in other modalities - 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program. + MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT - No experience required. + The ability to work at various locations. + Strong customer service skills. + Organizational and multitasking skills. + Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs. Preferred: + Associate’s degree or Equivalent Experience + Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT. + 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience.
