MRI Tech - Sign on bonus for eligible candidate

Day Shift, Full time: Sat, Sun, and Wednesdays 7am-7:30pm

Call Rotation/Holiday Call Rotation

Operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images of patients for medical interpretation. Interact directly with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging studies and patient safety.

Job Duties

Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images of the body according to established protocols and physician orders.Perform basic image processing techniques such as windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting to enhance visualization of anatomical structures and abnormalities.Assist radiologists and physicians in image interpretation, providing technical support and documentation of relevant findings.Greet patients and explain MRI procedures, ensuring they understand what to expect and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.Adhere to MRI safety protocols, including screening patients for contraindications, ensuring proper use of magnetic field safety equipment, and monitoring for potential hazards.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required.No experience required.ARRT Registration is required.Military training graduate of JRCERT accredited program can substitute for ARRT registration requirement.

Preferred Requirements

Two years of experience working as an MRI Tech in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred.
