MRI Technologist Weekend Option 3 - MRI - Day

Schedule Information

Friday 12 dayshift hours, Saturday 6.5 dayshift hours, & Sunday 5.5 dayshift hours, 50 out of 52 weekends per year. No on call hours required.

General Summary

Performs routine and special magnetic resonance imaging procedures. Performs procedures to produce MR images of designated anatomical areas according to established practices and procedures. Performs duties as on call technologist, is able to train new staff, and has passed the MRI advanced level specialty exam as per ARRT.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Performs MR imaging studies; obtains patient history; explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Under the direct supervision of the physician, administers intravenous contrast media. Recognizes complications (e.g., contrast reaction) and treats appropriately. Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations. Positions and transfers patients comfortably. Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices MRI safety procedures. Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience:

2 years Relevant experience. Required

Licenses:

Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and Registered Technologist-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) - ARRT Upon Hire Required or Certified MRI Technologist - ARMRIT Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in MRI procedures. Upon Hire Required You’re unique and you belong here.
