Job Summary:

The MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory of materials, tools, and services required for the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities. This role ensures timely procurement of quality products at competitive prices while maintaining compliance with company policies and supplier agreements.

Key Responsibilities:Procurement & Sourcing:Identify and source MRO materials, spare parts, tools, and services.Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.Inventory Management:Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate supply of critical items.Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to forecast needs.Cost Control & Compliance:Analyze purchase history and implement cost-saving strategies.Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and safety standards.Supplier Performance:Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and service.Resolve issues related to delayed shipments, defective materials, or discrepancies.Documentation & Reporting:Maintain accurate purchase records and update ERP systems.Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).Experience:2–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in MRO or industrial environment.Skills:Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain principles.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $53000.00/yr.
