The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.
SPA has an immediate need for a Modeling Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) Engineer to support the onsite SPA team at Hill AFB, UT. The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Group (SIG) supports the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center in the acquisition of the LGM-35A Sentinel (GBSD) ICBM weapon system. SIG delivers program management, systems engineering, and subject matter expertise to ensure on-time delivery of a safe, secure, and reliable strategic nuclear weapon system.
ResponsibilitiesThe Engineer will provide Modeling/Simulation & Engineering support to a large DoD acquisition program. This new ICBM program will design, develop, produce, and deploy new payload system suites (reentry vehicles and/or countermeasures). The key payload attributes include enhancements in accuracy, lethality, and ICBM Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle (RS/RV) interoperable operations. Program activities will also include the employment of digital acquisitions through the application of digital engineering, agile software development, and open systems architectures.
Responsibilities include
Provide technical advice to Government leaders and engineers.
Support requirements development, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation activities, and milestone preparation.
Prepare/review engineering analysis reports and key acquisition documents, including RFP packages.
Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical meetings, as required.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
B.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 12+ years (10+ years with M.S.) experience in engineering or related technical discipline.U.S. Citizen with DoD SECRET clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI.6+ years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership.Desired Qualifications:
Experience as an aerospace/mechanical engineer on a missile system or complex weapon system (especially ACAT I program or ICBM-related experience).
