MSIM- Liquidity Trader- Vice President

This individual will be an integral part of the Trading efforts of the Global Liquidity Team in New York

Responsibilities:

Analyze, execute, and reconcile Money Market trades.  Asset classes include Corporate Credit (Commercial Paper, Certificates of Deposit, Corporate Bonds), Repurchase Agreements, US Treasuries, and US Agencies.Collaborate within investment team to strategize execution, manage intraday cash flows, and coordinate liquidity needs of MSIM liquidity fundsSpecifically partner with Portfolio Managers to coordinate implementation and execution of new issuance, maintenance trades, and portfolio rebalancing.Effectively communicate market conditions and investment strategy to the Portfolio Managers, investment team, and distribution function.Communicate with Sales and Client Service teams to ensure accurate client cash flow detailsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing counterpartiesSeek operational improvements and automation within the trading functionAdopt ad-hoc projects to aid in investment analysis and deepen investing framework

Qualifications

5+ years of fixed income/money market investment experienceExperience with: Corporate Credit, Repurchase Agreements, US Treasuries, US AgenciesExecution experience preferred with knowledge of full trade life-cycleMeticulous attention to detail and desire to solve problemsHighly proficient in a team oriented, fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal/written communication skills and quantitative skillsFunctioning knowledge of bond math as well as the banking system as it relates to money marketsProficient in Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, AladdinBachelor’s Degree required

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $180,000 and $240,000  at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
