Job Description
1. Scientific Engagement & Thought Leader Collaboration:
Build and maintain professional relationships with external experts (thought leaders) in the gastroenterology field.Engage in peer-to-peer scientific discussions to enhance the understanding of AbbVie’s products and therapeutic areas.Identify opportunities for scientific exchange, education, and potential collaborations.2. Medical and Scientific Support:
Provide high-quality, non-promotional, scientific information to HCPs and other stakeholders in compliance with applicable guidelines.Address medical and scientific inquiries related to AbbVie’s gastroenterology products and therapeutic areas.3. Training & Development:
Participate in a structured onboarding and training program to develop expertise in the assigned therapeutic area.Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and marketing, to enhance scientific communication while maintaining scientific independence.4. Clinical Research Support:
Act as a liaison for investigator-initiated studies (IIS) by facilitating communication between HCPs and AbbVie’s medical teams.Provide medical insights that contribute to the development of clinical strategies.5. Medical Intelligence & Market Insights:
Gather and share medical and scientific intelligence, including competitor strategies, emerging research, and key trends in gastroenterology.Provide insights that contribute to the development of local medical strategies and brand planning.6. Compliance & Ethical Standards:
Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable national laws, regulations, and AbbVie’s internal policies and procedures.Maintain the highest ethical standards in all professional interactions.Qualifications
Education: Advanced degrees (Master’s, PharmD, PhD, MD) in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred, but candidates with a strong scientific background and a passion for medical affairs will also be considered.Experience: Previous experience in medical affairs, research, or clinical practice is preferred but not required.Scientific Knowledge: Strong ability to learn and communicate complex scientific concepts effectively.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Korean; proficiency in English is desirable.Compliance Awareness: Strong commitment to ethical standards, compliance, and scientific integrity.Team Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships within a matrix environment.Learning Mindset: Willingness to develop expertise in gastroenterology through continuous learning and mentorship.

Provide scientific and technical input to local AbbVie teams and external stakeholders under the governance of the medical department.Ensure adherence to all compliance regulations, guidelines, and best practices.Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key medical stakeholders in the gastroenterology field.

LOCATION
This is a field-based role.
