We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison Immuno-Rheumatology to join us in our regional Medical Affairs Immunology team, field based in Bucharest, Romania.
About the role
As a Medical Science Liaison Immuno-Rheumatology, you will identify and foster purposeful partnerships with key scientific influencers to drive new sources of patient value, while implementing key medical strategies to improve patient care, access, and outcomes.
Reporting to the Medical Field Lead, the MSL acts as the local medical representative and scientific expert within a cross-functional team.
What you’ll do
Develop and manage customer relationships, including identification, engagement, and efficient territory management.Exploration and identification of new sources of patient value (innovative solutions and services) objectives.Spend approximately 70-80% of time in field interactions, collecting and sharing customer insights, tailoring scientific proposals, and aligning scientific partnerships.Facilitate scientific exchanges with payors, hospital pharmacists, and other stakeholders to support market access.Enhance site performance and support clinical trials, non-interventional studies, and other RWE studies by gathering and communicating medical and scientific knowledge.Maintain and leverage therapeutic expertise to support territory plan execution and demonstrate medical leadership at conferences and meetings.Collaborate cross-functionally to transform customer insights into actions, share scientific updates, and ensure CRM documentation.Operate according to UCB standards and local regulations, adhering to ethical decision-making practices and addressing medical inquiries and safety information.

Educational background: scientific profile preferred, university degree (Master, PhD) in Life Sciences, e.g. Medicine, Biology, Pharmacy.Desired relevant therapeutic experience in immunology/rheumatology.Minimum 2 years of MSL or pharmaceutical/healthcare industry related experience desired.Ability to clearly articulate complex scientific concepts and clinical data value in 1:1 and group interactions setting.Effective communication and interpersonal skills including networking and presentation skills.Customer service oriented, business acumen required with the ability to take initiative and work both independently and in a team. Scientific Acumen and ability to translate scientific and clinical data into value proposition for the different stakeholders.Demonstrated leadership skills in managing own territory.Demonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to network and to work as part of a cross-functional team.Willingness to travel extensively, both nationally and internationally.
