Working/Functional Title MSU Health Care Athletic Trainer Position Summary The Athletic Trainer provides treatment to patients to restore and maximize function, reduce pain, and prevent disability under the direction and supervision of a medical provider. Minimum Requirements Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post- bachelor degree work, such as a Masters in Physical Education with relevant coursework in athletic training; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in all aspects of athletic training or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA). Desired Qualifications Experience working in a Sports Medicine clinic.
