MTO Scheduler
Job Summary:

As the Marine and Technical (MTO) Project Scheduler, you will maintain the safety and integrity of the Disney Cruise Line fleet.  Vendors need to sail regularly for maintenance and other projects. You will be focused on working with Project Managers for Internal Request for Guest Stateroom (IRGS) submittals and cabin bookings.


You will report to the Manager, Technical Integration.

 

 

ResponsibilitiesInstrumental in working hand-in-hand with Revenue Management to block and book cabins avoiding peak times and addressing Disney Cruise Line Business and Operational needs, with a focus on improving revenue and minimal guest impact.Partner with Operations Managers for scheduling, booking, and securing cabins. Coordinate with other DCL departments to assist with back-to-back sailings required for essential maintenance work.Submit all approved IRGS travel requests into the DCL Revenue Management site for processing and maintain current sailing lists for IRGS requests on the MTO Teams site.Communicate expected Vendors/Cast/Crew sailing on behalf of MTO to Shoreside and Shipboard teams for upcoming sailings, including any communications related to immigration issues and shipboard expectations.Partner with Immigration Compliance to obtain approvals for special vendor embarkations and debarkations to ensure DCL does not violate any foreign immigration laws. Coordinate with Guest Services for mid-cruise vendor embarkations and disembarkations.Communicate frequently with Vendors throughout the booking process, maintaining deadlines and ensuring accurate processes are followed, and continuing communication once onboard the ship to address any ongoing project updates.Partner with Shipboard Guest and Crew Services Managers regarding any issues related to stateroom assignments for vendors/Crew sailing on behalf of MTO. Help maintain ongoing communications with other essential shipboard team members related to any urgent requests.Partner with the Terminal Operations teams at all home ports, as well as Shipboard Guest Services and Security/Clearance, for any last-minute bookings, cancellations, etc.Help with Daily Visitor Safety System (SVAM) entries for day visit boarding requests for vendors and cast. Ensure required Customs & Border Protection (CBP) information is accurate and up-to-date.Prepare and send required DCL joining letters for Vendors/Cast when traveling to/from abroad.

 

 Required QualificationsStrong understanding of business operationsRelationship building – with fellow cast, shipboard teams, and outside vendorsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailOutstanding communication abilitiesSkilled at navigating fast-paced environments, adeptly managing shifting priorities and unforeseen adjustments with easeKnowledge of Microsoft Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and other Microsoft programsProactive approach to foreseeing future needs and a dedication to refining processes to optimize workflow efficiency

 

Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of Disney Cruise Line booking systems (e.g. Seaware)Experience supporting a complex process-driven operationKnowledge and experience with the internal guest statement request (IRGS) process, SAP travel & expense, and SVAMBilingual/multilingual (written/verbal)Cruise industry knowledgeAble to manage multiple projects at a time and can independently prioritize and meet deadlines

 

EducationHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
