eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in San Jose, CA
Job Duties: Design, develop and deploy large scale software applications using OOAD, architectural and design patterns, open-source platforms, frameworks, technologies and software engineering methodologies. Create testing harness, infrastructure, test cases, and Automation geared towards ensuring quality of the software product. Develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and alignment to development goals and principles. Identify and solve stability and scalability issues in a very time critical environment. Participate in all aspects of Product Development Life Cycle including requirement/design reviews as well as code reviews. Estimate software engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout software system changes. Lead software product initiatives, recommend improvements, mentor and guide junior team members. Share release management duties on feature rollouts. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Salary: $172,931.00-234,850.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
