Multi Asset Solutions Strategist

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Multi-Asset Solutions team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience in constructing cross-asset investment solutions. Equally, the role may appeal to candidates without Solutions experience but that have a strong investment background and a desire to develop in a growing Multi-Asset business.

A bit about the job:

Aviva Investors Multi-Asset is a fast-growing investment area and offers strategies tailored for financial advisors in the UK and Ireland, as well as corporate pensions.  Our customers take confidence from having experienced professionals looking after their money, so to support our growth we are looking to add to the Multi-Asset Solutions team. 

The team is responsible for the development of long-term investment strategy across c.£100bn in assets under management. The role is highly analytical and focuses on portfolio strategy design including strategic asset allocation, research, and effectively communicating insights to both internal and client stakeholders.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Experience in investment management and/or research with a sound understanding of portfolio construction and risk management systems. Cross-asset experience including private markets is desirable.

Strong quantitative literacy and analytical skills. Programming skills, especially Python, are desirable.

Ability to engage with research with a focus on long-term cross-asset investing. Experience of writing research is desirable.

Self-starter with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Ability to communicate complex themes to a diverse audience and strong commercial acumen.

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
