**Job Description**
As a Multi Craft Maintenance Technician, you will observe the functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service, repair, and/or replacement of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components. You will collaborate with technical staff to discuss performance issues and improvement ideas. You will read and understand electronic and electrical/mechanical schematics, draw sketches to clarify design details, and assemble experimental circuitry of complete prototype models according to engineering instructions and technical manuals. You will also recommend changes in circuitry of installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
**Responsibilities**
+ Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service, repair, and/or replacement of components.
+ Discuss performance issues and improvement ideas with pertinent technical staff.
+ Read and understand electronic and electrical/mechanical schematics; draw sketches to clarify design details.
+ Assemble experimental circuitry of complete prototype models according to engineering instructions and technical manuals.
+ Recommend changes in circuitry of installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
+ Troubleshoot and repair solid-state motor drives, temperature controllers, and computer-based controllers.
+ Set up standard test apparatus or contrive test equipment and circuitry; conduct functional and operational tests.
+ Analyze and interpret data from solid-state motor drives and controllers using scope meters and other troubleshooting equipment.
+ Adjust, calibrate, and align circuitry and components; record effects on unit performance.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a PLC or Maintenance Mechanic role in an industrial environment.
+ Strong engineering and technical skills including PLC, electrical, and mechanical skills.
+ Ability to conduct basic mathematical calculations.
+ Proficient in using electrical test instrumentation.
+ Good communication skills to work with plant personnel and vendors.
+ Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
+ Understanding of continuous improvement methods.
+ Computer skills (MS Office, HMI, Control Logic).
+ Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming/troubleshooting skills.
+ Ability to maintain backups of programs from all electrical devices.
+ Ability to check newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
+ Must obtain forklift and aerial lift platform licenses.
+ Maintains a clean and orderly work area free of hazards.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with preventive maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
+ Welding skills.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
