As a Multi-Functional Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee key manufacturing activities and guide Associate Managers to meet quality, schedule, and cost objectives for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Production Assembly area. Your leadership will directly impact the performance of one of the world’s most advanced aircraft production lines.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Lead daily operations in structural assembly, ensuring quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met.
• Assign and oversee mechanics' daily tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of aircraft records.
• Execute build plans and implement process improvements to enhance quality, schedule, and cost performance.
• Foster a workplace culture that prioritizes Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention and ensures proper certification of employees performing certification-required tasks.
• Ensure compliance with Core processes and program-specific requirements, providing a safe work environment and addressing unsafe conditions promptly.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, developing technical competencies, talent, and performance within the team.
• Identify skill gaps and partner with Labor Relations and Human Resources to enhance employee engagement and team development.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in aircraft assembly techniques, theory &/or practice.
• Experience in aircraft quality standards and the cost of quality concepts.
• Experience managing a team in technical and leadership development.
• Experience Leading in an aircraft manufacturing operations environment.
• Experience with mentoring &/or developing teams using COA techniques.
• Experience working with &/or adapting to dynamic manufacturing schedules.
• Experience in the recruitment &/or development of talent to strengthen the organization
Desired Skills:
• 5 + years of leadership experience in an aircraft manufacturing operations environment.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work across Functions/Lines of Business.
• F-35 Manufacturing structures and systems manufacturing experience.
• Strong team building skills leading hourly collective bargaining units.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain engaged and productive working relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in
a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization, support organizations, customers, and governmental oversight organizations.
• Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to effectively communicate the need for change and motivate teams.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
