Statement of Purpose:
Performs diagnostic imaging examinations in at least 2 imaging modalities on a routine basis for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Choices of modalities include Radiology, Cat Scan, Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine. Administers ionizing radiation to patients under the direction of a radiologist or cardiologist. Assists in procedures as necessary per modality. Competently operates all imaging equipment with the highest regard for patient/staff safety.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associates Degree or equivalent military training in Radiologic Technology required.
Must maintain minimum requirements for acquiring Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) as mandated by State and ARRT Guidelines.
Certification/License:
MA Radiologic Technologist License or temporary license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Radiation Control Program. Must include all assigned modalities (Radiology. Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography or, Nuclear Medicine).

CPR required
ACLS required for Cath Lab only
Experience:
Successful completion of training and registration of all assigned modalities required.
One year of diagnostic Radiologic experience preferred.
