The Department of Physical Plant at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Multi-Skilled Painter to join their team:
Summary:
+ Patching and Painting and Wall Coverings throughout the Hospital. When needed, perform repairs and installation of basic Electrical systems; Plumbing systems; HVAC and Lock repairs; Carpentry repairs.
Responsibilities:
+ Prepares surfaces for finishing, i.e. spackling, puttying, caulking, sanding, etc. Applies paint and other materials in prescribed manner using brush or roller. Applies variety of other finishes, i.e. stains, varnish, shellac, etc .Installs wall covering for new installation and repairs.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
+ 4+ years Full time painting experience with a bona fide painting contractor or employer (Required)
+ Technical training in various finishing methods (Required)
+ Experience in Healthcare facilities (Preferred)
