Job Title: Multicraft Technician
We are seeking a skilled Multicraft Technician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of systems and equipment across multiple disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other facility systems. The ideal candidate will be versatile, resourceful, and able to work independently or as part of a team to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Performance Expectations
Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including machinery, conveyors, pumps, motors, and HVAC systems. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and systems issues, addressing both routine maintenance and emergency repairs. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with production equipment, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and electrical systems. System Modifications & Improvements: Install, modify, and repair equipment, systems, and components. Work on equipment upgrades and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and minimize downtime. Equipment Calibration & Testing: Ensure proper operation and calibration of equipment. Test and verify repairs and adjustments to ensure systems meet performance standards. Blueprint & Schematic Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot, repair, and install systems and equipment. Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain a clean and safe work area and properly handle hazardous materials, if applicable. Documentation & Reporting: Complete work orders, log maintenance activities, and maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and service intervals. Provide feedback on equipment performance and reliability. Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and production personnel to address mechanical, electrical, and operational challenges. Provide support in the development and implementation of new maintenance procedures. Inventory & Parts Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and tools. Order necessary materials and parts as needed to ensure continuous operation of equipment.
Credentials
Education: Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related field is preferred. Experience: 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician, industrial mechanic, or multicraft technician in a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment. Experience working with both electrical and mechanical systems is required. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. Strong knowledge of motors, drives, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Familiarity with PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and industrial control systems. Knowledge of industrial safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, and electrical safety. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.Desired Characteristics
