Multifunction Services Temp Supervisor
Our Client, a Public University company, is looking for a Multifunction Services Temp Supervisor for their Remote location. Responsibilities: + At Client Medicine, our Multifunction Services Supervisors are functioning members of our health care team. + You will establish and maintain aseptic environmental conditions for large areas within the Medical Center. + Environmental Services is responsible for following all infection prevention and control, OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission (Environment of Care) standards, while responding constructively and professionally to service requests from patients, visitors, and staff. + Supervise employees while maintaining a clean, safe, aseptic environment in assigned areas + Ensure that payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner by entering time, monitoring timesheets, and approving time for staff + Drive staff productivity to meet target turnaround times and appraise employee efficiency + Participate in recruitment and staff selection process + Onboard new staff members + Provide ongoing training and support to staff + Assign work areas and/or project duties + Collaborate with peers throughout Client Medicine to plan and execute projects + Attend and participate in department staff meetings, professional development, and training courses + Lead, motivate, and mentor staff + Participate in quality management and patient satisfaction program + Manage equipment allocation, usage, and condition ensuring that all equipment is always clean and professional in appearance + Manage staff utilization to budget + Conduct performance evaluations and check-ins + Handle employee discipline and employee complaints/grievances when necessary + Implement and verify compliance with safety and regulatory requirements and governing bodies + Oversee service recovery efforts + Patient Transportation and Lift Team are responsible for safely moving and lifting patients within the hospital. The Patient Transportation department moves patients and visitors to and from appointments, diagnostic and treatment areas in a safe, courteous, professional, and timely manner. As a temporary supervisor, you will supervisor the staff responsible for these transports. + Responsible for Transport and Lift Team staff on their shift/area + Train new Transport and Lift Team staff in the proper process and procedures for safe patient transports. + Provide reinforcement of proper process and procedures for the existing staff as needed and provide new process and procedure training. + Manage staffing and maintains labor hours for each day to control overtime expenses. + Ensure employees are compliant with yearly mandatory training for their role. + Respond to and resolve customer issues and escalations, dispatch staff as needed for resolution. + Perform daily rounding and staff observations to support productivity. + Monitor timeliness of transports and identify staff who may need additional guidance and support to reach transport time goals. + Accurately manage payroll and leaves of absence to identify when hiring for permanent or temporary positions is appropriate. + Conduct interviews for new hires, both permanent and temporary staff. + Develop and recommend department operating budget and ensure the department operates within budget. + Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies + Follow up on all customer service opportunities and provides resolution in a timely fashion + Conduct daily staff meetings/huddles Requirements: + High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of supervisory experience in an educational, healthcare, hospitality, or other related field + Associate's degree and 2 years of supervisory experience in an educational, healthcare, hospitality, or other related field + Bachelor's degree + Intermediate (at least one of the following) + Associate's degree and 4 years supervisory experience in an educational, healthcare, hospitality, or other related field + Bachelor's degree and 2 years supervisory experience in an educational, healthcare, hospitality, or other related field + Bachelor's degree and 4 years of supervisory experience in an educational, healthcare, hospitality, or other related field + Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment. + Demonstrated capability of the following interpersonal skills: team building, teamwork coaching, conflict resolution, communication. + Must be able to meet physical requirements + Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and implement quality improvement measures + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Excellent listening and empathy skills + Excellent problem-solving skills + Excellent attention to detail with strong organization skills + Demonstrated ability to remain calm under stressful conditions + Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and responsibilities with the flexibility to pivot as necessary + Reasonable knowledge of computer systems (i.e. Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel) + Basic understanding of budgets and demonstrated ability to spend to a fixed budget + Intermediate + 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a union environment + Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience + 4-5 years of supervisory experience in a union environment + Masters degree or equivalent military experience + Experience working and complying with regulatory agencies + Knowledge of client systems such as MiChart and M-Pathways + Three or more years of direct supervisory experience of one or multiple supply/service processes. + Capacity to develop knowledge of Logistics principles and practices inclusive of business techniques and the technical aspects of the particular area(s) of responsibility will be necessary. + Demonstrated capability of the following interpersonal skills: team building, teamwork coaching, conflict resolution, and communication. + Proven project planning, goal setting, and change management skills. + Reasonable knowledge of computer systems is necessary (i.e.: Word, Excel, Outlook). + Reasonable knowledge of timekeeping principles + Associate’s degree or higher is desired, or 3 or more progressive years of supervisory skills. + Knowledge of University policies and procedures, and regulations + Experience using M-Pathways + Reasonable business experience in an administrative capacity is desired.
