Leidos is searching for a talented Multimedia Producer to join the prestigious Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) team!
As a key member of the Information Technology and Communications team supporting the National Science Foundation's United States Antarctic Program (USAP), the Multimedia Producer will manage the production and distribution of digital media content across multiple platforms. This role involves collaborating with senior leadership, customers, and subject matter experts to create and execute strategic communication plans, ensuring consistent, on-brand messaging across all customer-managed outlets.
This is a hybrid remote role, and will require some in office work at the ASC offices in Centennial, CO.
*** Deployment to Antarctica may be necessary at the discretion of management (approximately 3 to 8 weeks/year). The candidate in the position must complete the physical and dental examinations required by the NSF for deploying to Antarctica. ***
Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
Must obtain a Public Trust security clearance prior to start date. This process could take up to 4 months.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000

About the Antarctic Support Contract:
Leidos Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) is the prime contractor to the National Science Foundation (NSF) in support of the United States Antarctic Program (USAP). Leidos supports the NSF’s Office of Polar Program’s Antarctic Infrastructure and Logistics by aligning with their Mission and Vision Statements:
Vision: Expanding our scientific reach in Antarctica through increased operational and logistical effectiveness.
Mission: To provide the operational and logistical platform necessary for the U.S. to conduct world-class science in Antarctica and maintain its active and influential presence on the continent.
Leidos ASC provides science and logistics support for approximately 150 science and technical events across three geographically remote research stations; McMurdo Station, Palmer Station, and South Pole Station and several deep field sites across Antarctica. Each station or field site supports world class research across multiple science disciplines. The planning and implementation of science support requirements in Antarctica is a critical part of our mission.

The Challenge:
Manage the media development process for video, photography, live streaming, and multimedia presentations, from pre-production through post-production, including voice-over sessions.
Serve as the manager and engineer for the IPTV/Cable Television Station, Radio Station, and Video Production Studio.
Serve as the liaison between the customer and the Defense Media Activity.
Supervise and coordinate creative teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Provide technical expertise in studio and on-location set-up, including shooting, lighting, audio, and post-production.
Manage the budget for the Production Studio, Television and Radio Stations, ensuring resources are used efficiently and within allocated budgets.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in digital storytelling, ensuring all media productions are compliant with Section 508c accessibility standards when applicable.
Oversee and maintain the digital Public Area Displays and CATV Information Pages, ensuring timely content updates and the proper functionality of both hardware and software.
Manage and organize the digital asset library and archive, ensuring access to all materials.
At NSF direction, work with the ASC Communications group and industry media (print, video, film) on coordinating on-ice events, and/or providing footage from archives/library as required.
What Sets You Apart:
A BA degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Position requires a federal extended background investigation.
MAC/PC – Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, AVID Media Composer, Final Cut, SONY, Panasonic, DJI, Nikon.
Extensive knowledge in digital and analog networks, video playout systems, switchers/routers, satellite decoders, IPTV, codecs, encoding/decoding, test equipment and Digital Asset Management.
