WHAT YOU'LL DO:Research and develop story ideas from assignments, news leads and tipsGather and verify factual information through interviews, observation and researchOrganize material and write stories according to editorial style and format standardsShoot video and still photos to illustrate your storiesEdit videos for all multimedia platformsAppear on television programs for taped interviews and narrationDeliver live reports from event sites or mobile broadcast unitsWork cooperatively with photographers when assignedAssist news producers in preparing newscastsContribute to multimedia storytelling across digital platforms

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:BS/BA in Journalism, Communications or related field, or equivalent years of experience preferredGenerally, 3+ years of experience in related field preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:Strong broadcast and AP style writing skillsComputer literacy including newsroom computer systemsVideography and non-linear editing experienceKnowledge of broadcast quality camera equipmentProficiency with Final Cut Pro or similar editing systemsExperience posting content to various websitesSelf-motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environmentDriving required. Valid Driver's License, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limitsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds
