Job Summary/Description:

Fox Carolina is looking for an experienced journalist to join our award-winning news team. Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

*Gathering data and relevant information on local and national newsworthy events
*Create and present accurate, fair, unbiased news content as assigned. Responsible for providing news and information across multiple platforms and presenting content both inside the Fox Carolina studios and in the field
*Develop and maintain a network of news sources to create exclusive local news content
*Shoot and edit stories
*Work cross-functionally and cooperatively as a team member under tight deadlines
*The ability to interact professionally and effectively with all internal Fox Carolina employees and external organizations
*Ability to read and understand a variety of materials ranging from daily newspapers/news sites, professional journals, technical reports, and legal documents
*Interpret information to establish facts and determine truth
*Creatively find new and entertaining ways to present content
*Should be well presented on-camera
*Ability to handle a variety of tasks, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, stressful environment
*Demonstrated ability of good news judgment
*Must want to be a part of the community joining in events throughout the area

Qualifications/Requirements:

*5 years of experience as a television reporter in a top 100 market
*Basic understanding of Windows-based electronics and the ability to learn ENPS as well as new systems as they are implemented.
*BS/BA in Journalism/Communications or equivalent background
*Flexibility with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts
