This dynamic role is responsible for producing compelling visual content that enhances the school’s brand across print, web, social media, video platforms, and digital signage, including our state-of-the-art media wall. The ideal candidate will be skilled in photography and visual storytelling. You will set up and operate cameras, lighting, and other production equipment for both studio and field shoots. In addition to capturing high-quality images. You will play a key role in video production, participating in all stages of pre-production including concept development, storyboarding, script collaboration, and location scouting. And you will handle post-production tasks such as editing and packaging photos for various platforms. This role also involves conceptualizing and coordinating content, writing engaging captions, cut-lines, and alt text, and assisting in sourcing original and stock photography to support a wide range of marketing initiatives. Essential Duties/Tasks Photography ● Produces photos for print, web, social media, video channels and digital signage/media wall. ● Sets up and operates cameras, lighting units, and other equipment for field production. ● Performs photo post-production tasks, including editing and packaging photos for delivery. ● Conceptualizes and coordinates content. ● Writes photo cutlines, captions and alt text. ● Assists in sourcing original and stock photos for the media wall. ● Maintains knowledge of the latest photo editing software, equipment, technology, trends and best practices. ● Maintains image identity and standards of the University and Mays Business School. Video Production ● Participates in all steps of video pre-production including pre-production meetings, concept development and storyboarding, working with writers on scripts, and scouting shoot locations. ● Edits and assembles final visual materials. ● Meets post-production goals and deadlines. ● Develops, creates, and integrates videos for a large scale screen/media wall. ● Ensures consistency and monitors the technical quality of end products. ● Ensures ADA compliance of all digital productions (e.g., captions, text contrast, etc.). ● Sets up and operates cameras, lighting units, microphones, and other equipment for field production. Administrative/Other ● Collaborates with internal and external marketing and communications teams to create, produce, film, and edit digital media content supporting the mission of Mays Business School. ● Prioritizes, organizes, and schedules work assignments and projects. ● Schedules and maintains assets for digital signages and a media wall. ● Provides consulting and support to the campus community on effective imagery and videography. ● Maintains awareness and knowledge of current photography, videography production and digital signage trends and technological advances. ● Properly archives and masters digital assets. ● Travels to various locations within Texas to provide onsite support/services as needed. ● Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Education and Experience + Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Three years of experience producing photography or videography content. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite as it pertains to photo editing. + Knowledge of photo/video production and editing, framing and composition, lighting. + Mastery of digital SLR cameras, image editing, set design, continuous and strobe lighting, post-production editing, and color grading. + Ability to conceptualize, plan and manage complex multimedia projects from start to finish with limited supervision. + Knowledge of basic marketing and communications principles. + Ability to operate and maintain cameras and equipment, including digital editing systems and software. + Knowledge of studio and field lighting gear, including lighting techniques for location shoots. + Experience maintaining and administering a front-end digital asset management resource for photo storage and archiving. + Ability to travel in and out of College Station.
