Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Multimedia Specialist I - Boca Raton, FL

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for providing support for the design and development of multimedia solutions to promote and support quality online courses and eLearning professional development. This position will be responsible for pre-production, production and post-production of various multimedia projects. The Multimedia Specialist will carryout on-location and studio recordings, prepare and maintain video production equipment as well as transporting, setting up and meeting the needs of each recording.

Other job functions will include developing and facilitating live and pre-produced training, production of instructional materials, creation of reusable learning objects, and management of network share, processing of captioning and content embedding. Performs other duties as assigned at the discretion of the supervisor. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Media and Innovation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate video production experience preferred.

Portfolio/demo reel link must be included in the resume

Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods during video shoots

Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities

Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills

Highly organized, responsible, and punctual

Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop)

Experienced in video production tools (cinema cameras, DSLRs, GoPro/360 cameras, lighting & audio gear)

Skilled in video editing and post-production workflows

Familiar with studio video software (OBS, video switchers)

Understanding of media accessibility tools and services

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Comfortable using web conferencing tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx)

Capable of assisting with basic hardware troubleshooting
