Summary:

Cook Children’s story is one of hope, healing and an experience like no other. The Brand Storyteller must be able to capture that experience in engaging stories that connect with our various audiences. The person in this role will lead the planning and execution of innovative and strategic content, from traditional to new formats, and do so from inception through completion. Must balance the ability to find new stories and be a fluid collaborator between teams from all Cook Children’s companies and departments. The Brand Storyteller must be a brand ambassador and be able to work in an agile environment. A good candidate for this role is a go-getter who is self-motivated, driven to produce flawless work, with a great attitude. They should be a team player who is always willing to do what's best for Cook Children’s. They should value the power of storytelling and thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects always in the works. Responsibilities: Create heartfelt stories to honor patients, staff, generous donors and the community that supports Cook Children’s. Identify, research and develop stories and interviews. Create content for use in multiple ways and platforms. Write interesting and newsworthy articles utilizing AP Style for publication on checkupnewsroom.com. Capture amazing video and photography for use on multiple platforms. Collaborate with staff and patient families to tell the story of their Cook Children’s experiences. Balance requests that come from within our health care system with finding and developing stories that support our strategy. Use analytics to guide and develop content, as well as adapt it to increase engagement. Work across mediums from writing/editing, to video production and photography. Understand the link between brand journalism, news media, social media, etc., to create riveting content that draws in our audiences.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Marketing, Radio/TV, Communications or related field.

3-5 years experience in video production, writing and overseeing production crews and photographers.

Excellent copy writing and editing skills.

Strong knowledge of video editing equipment and software.

Able to work independently or as part of a team.

Work with a positive attitude and a drive to both learn and teach.

Highly organized with great attention to detail.

Able to multitask and archive digital assets for use across teams.
