Multimodality Tech - Big Sky (Casual Call)

Position Summary: 

The Multi-Modality Radiology Technologist delivers high quality MRI, CT, and X-Ray exams to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Independently Performs MRI, CT, and X-Ray procedures, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required

Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent, and documented competencies in Radiology, CT and MRIMontana Licensure (Radiologic Technologist)American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) advanced certification in both CT & MRIAmerican Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hireTwo (2) years of previous radiology experienceTwo (2) years of previous CT and/or MRI experience

Preferred

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in health care related studies

Essential Job Functions:

In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

Performs quality MRI, CT, and X-Ray/fluoroscopic exams and procedures for all patient populations, to include NICU, CCU & ED as requested by medical staff.Operates independently, with limited to no supervision, while maintaining high attention to detail, customer needs, and high reliability.Assists medical staff in other departments during exams and procedures as may be requested and appropriate.Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.Retrieves written orders and related health information to insure the timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures.Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.Expectation to support and train peers.

Physical Requirements

Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling: Support 50 pounds of weight (patient, assist with bedside needs, etc.) Lift 50 pounds (pick up a child, transfer a patient, etc.) Carry equipment/supplies. Use upper body strength (CPR, physically restrain patient, etc.)Extended Hours: The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.Flexible Schedule: The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.On-Call Availability: On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.Effective Communication: Proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologies.Handling Challenging Situations: The role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients or families.Repetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
