Multiskilled Technician (Mechanical Bias)
  Job Overview Form part of a team to provide a high level of maintenance support to the M & E Supervisor to meet Mitie contractual obligations. This role is working on a shift pattern (7am-7pm followed for 2 days followed by 2 Nights of 7pm-7am). The successful candidate will need to pass a DBS prior to starting the role. You will be entitled to a shift allowance. The role will cover Freeman hospital and RVI located in Newcastle upon Tyne.

 

Main Duties

Ensure that all day-to-day planned preventative maintenance activities of M&E maintenance is completed in line with our contractual obligations. Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained in accordance with the O&M manuals, best practice and relevant guidelines/legislation. Assist in supervising subcontractors and monitor SSOW, policies and procedures. Respond to all reactive calls in line with our contractual time scales, complete job sheets, reports and documentation as required. Work safely at all times in accordance with SSOW, policies and procedures. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Professional approach and image must be adhered to at all times. Keep all plant/rooms / services enclosures clean, tidy safe and secure. Undertake any ad-hoc duties that may be necessary during the course of your working shift. Be aware of the business continuity plan for the part of the business you work in.   What we are looking for Previous experience of mechanical and or multi-disciplined maintenance
Must have sound interpersonal skills, and pay attention to detail Must have experience and competence in relevant Health & Safety legislation Capable of acting under own initiative Commitment to high quality service provision Excellent customer awareness and team working skills

Desirable

18th Edition or C&G 2391 Desire to attain competency in other aspects of building services Commitment to personal development.
