Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Multus Cell Specialist.

The hours for this role are 3pm-11pm

The hourly rate for this position is 36.59 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Job summary

We are seeking a skilled operator to set up and operate our Multus 7-axis multi-function MillTurn Center and other equipment within the Multus Cell. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing complex setups, adjusting speeds and feeds, and ensuring close tolerances for various components. Responsibilities include operating both conventional and programmable CMMs, performing heat treatments, marking components, and managing continuous production flow.

In addition, the candidate must have at least 3 years of CNC Turning and CNC Milling experience, along with a deep understanding of CNC operation and programming. The role involves working from blueprints, editing existing programs, performing manual operations, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment are essential."    

Job responsibilities

Set up and operate the Multus 7-axis multi-function MillTurn Center and other equipment in the Multus Cell. Machine features Live Tooling on a B-axis and a sub-spindle for hands-off two-sided machining.Occasionally edit existing programs or write basic programs to support manufacturing, as most programs are written by Manufacturing Engineering.Operate both conventional and programmable CMMs, ovens, and freezers to heat treat and stabilize components.Manage complex setups requiring knowledge of up to 7 axes, 40 tools, and large capacity bar feeders. Ensure close tolerances and adjust speeds and feeds according to material and finish requirements.Perform final machining of fixtures, bench work, and use various measurement instruments for part inspection. Maintain clean and orderly work area according to safety and department standards.Have a continuous improvement mindset to enhance quality, increase productivity, and lower costs. Responsible for measurement and verification of work, and reporting any faulty operations or conditions to Supervisors."    Qualifications:

 

HS Diploma or GED for an accredited institution3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment operating machinery

Technical knowledge

Proficiency in shop mathematics.Ability to interpret complicated drawings, specifications, and charts.Use of various adjustable measuring instruments.Knowledge of various machine tools and hand operations equivalent to the completion of an apprenticeship.

Soft skills

Outstanding judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to work independently on complex jobs.Ability to devise methods and procedures to handle unusual conditions.Capability to make original contributions to solve complex problems.
