Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will join our Atlantic Canada Infrastructure team in our Moncton, NB office, which offers a modern, vibrant, professional environment for collaboration! Our team continues to play a leading role in some of the region’s largest infrastructure projects, as well as collaborate with EXP team members across North America on some very large and challenging infrastructure projects in other jurisdictions.
 

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Monitoring construction of municipal infrastructure (i.e. water, sewer, roads, curb, gutter, sidewalk) to ensure compliance with the contract documents.  Tracking material quantities used during construction. Completing daily field reports. Liaising with the public to ensure that local residents and businesses are kept well informed of construction progress and that all enquiries and concerns are dealt with in a prompt and professional manner. Recording as-built information. Observing actual construction progress against the Contractor’s schedules. Proactively evaluating the work being performed in order to anticipate problems which may interfere with progress of the work. Maintaining an electronic directory of digital photographs to document construction progress. Liaising with public works staff to ensure they are kept in the loop throughout the duration of construction. Reporting deficiencies observed to the Contractor’s Superintendent and the Project Manager immediately. Coordinating on-site materials testing and inspection, pressure testing, chlorination testing and commissioning of system components as required. Ensuring contractor follows all Health and Safety  Maintaining detailed and accurate field notes.

What your experience looks like

Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications would be considered an asset.  Experience with applicable Health & Safety regulations would be considered an asset. Strong work ethic and communication skills.
