Cogent'sWater Technology Groupdivision is seeking aMunicipal Outside Sales Engineerto sell water and wastewater treatment equipment, pumping equipment, and control systems. This position is responsible for sourcing new customers and accounts, growing and retaining existing accounts, and providing unparalleled customer service. Cogent is looking for a professional, experienced salesperson to cover territory inUtahandIdaho. This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's in Engineering (or similar degree) and a minimum of two plus years of experience in technical sales and account management experience in the attainment of challenging sales goals, or a combination of education and work experience will also be considered. PositionMunicipal Outside Sales Engineer Position Requirements Qualified Applicants Will Also Possess the Following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Strong knowledge of water and wastewater processes and equipment applications + Strong product knowledge in pumping and control systems + Proven ability to prospect, close sales, and obtain referrals + Proven experience in account management + Goal oriented, self-driven, and self-motivated + Proven ability to run multiple projects simultaneously + Proven experience in account management + Excellent, interpersonal, and relationship building skills + Excellent customer follow-up and responsiveness skills + Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills + Excellent organizational and time management skills + Experience using Salesforce CRM + Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Outside Sales Account Manager Duties May Include + Sell products and solutions to customers within a defined established territory + Analyze customers’ requirements and engage in consultative selling with clients + Provide value-added services and products to solve customer problems + Provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries + Maintain great partner relationships with key manufacturers and vendors to achieve product quotas + Work with Cogent’s service division for layout review, interpretations, and quotation preparation + Work closely with the inside sales team to determine essential strategic approaches for sales at strategic customers + Complete, review, and communicate required internal sales documentation + Identifying target prospects and creating strategic action plans to turn prospects into customers + Balance both time on the road and in the office with some overnight travel Who We AreCogent is a growing, Midwest company that provides creative and innovative fluid processing solutions.
