Museum Director
Conceptualizing & Visualizing the Vision for the Museum:  Work closely with the promoters & key stakeholders of the group to develop and refine the vision of the museum, Develop the strategic direction and establish initiatives for a progressive & ever evolving museum. Seek to understand and internalize the legacy of the Adani Group, operating from a point of curiosity, learning what makes the institution unique as the fastest growing organization in the world. Visualize and execute the vision of the museum end-to-end.  Building a World-Class Team:  Get the right agencies, institutions and people working on the development of the museum. Lead a team of curators and researchers who would gather the required data and help curate the museum in accordance with vision for the museum.  Direct policymaking, planning, staffing, and operations. Manage and lead the full-time staff, part-time staff, volunteers, and consultants, etc. Creation of a Thriving Institution within the Museum:  Creating engaging programs and events that attract a diverse audience and foster a love of learning and innovation Lead and participate in all development activities, including developing relationships with foundations, corporations, artists, and individual services providers/donors that concern development of museum and curation of art and artifacts in the museum.  Direct the museum's operations, to include education and public programming to develop a museum that is a living entity. Marketing & Communications: Serve as spokesperson and chief advocate for the Museum. Enhances the Museum’s public image to expand interest and support. Directs the overall development of public relations and marketing initiatives. Establish strong partnerships in the community that can be leveraged to generate traction at the Museum. Additionally, the Museum Director would be responsible for setting up the directions for the website/APP/WAP for the Museum and getting it executed as well. Facility Management: Manage, secure, and maintain the property and facilities of the Museum. Administration, research, and collection maintenance are general, day-to-day museum director duties Passion and Background: Must be passionate about either of the following: History Arts & Culture Storytelling Design If not specifically from a museum-related background, candidates may also come from various other fields such as Events, Media and Entertainment, Exhibition Design, Marketing and Communications, or related disciplines. Core Skills and Experience: Strong track record of innovative projects, including technology-based and social media savvy strategies. Successful experience managing exhibition planning and implementation. Preferable someone with knowledge of museum techniques, publication, and educational activities. Proven track record of fostering a fun, creative, dynamic, and provocative museum atmosphere. Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Emotional intelligence skills, including the ability to adapt to unforeseen situations, the ability to influence key stakeholders, and the ability to negotiate to achieve a desired outcome. Positive public relations and customer service skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening skills and strong presentation skills. Ability to work as part of a team and with a diverse group of individuals. Self-Evaluation and Growth: Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regards to leadership, performance, and professional growth. Language Skills: Bilingual (Hindi/English); Gujarati would be a plus
