Provides music therapy services in an variety of different settings. May be assigned a geographic region for services.Key Position Details:
Part -time position scheduled for evening shifts during the week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 1:00PM - 9:30PM) and every fourth weekend day shift (7:30 AM - 4:00PM with some flexibility)This position is on the inpatient child and adolescent mental health unit at Abbott Northwestern Hospital The Clinical Therapy team provides group programming, individual assessments, and interventions for patients on the inpatient mental health units. The Clinical Therapy team works very closely with the multidisciplinary inpatient care team including the psychiatrist/nurse practitioner, nurse, psychologist, internal medicine provider, social work, mental health coordinator, pharmacy and additional team members as needed. Principle Responsibilities
Provide music therapy services.Initially assess the patient and family to determine plan of care, implement interventions and evaluate results.Develop or contribute to the plan of care that addresses appropriate goals and interventions to meet the patient needs of ages, cultural backgrounds and in various settings (inpatient)Administers music therapy interventions to patientMaintains music therapy equipment and supplies.Documents services provided in relation to expected outcomes.Planning and education of services.May educate support staff, volunteers and families through a variety of means.May orient new staff and volunteers.May plan group programs to treat patients.Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $30.39 to $41.65 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
