WHAT TO EXPECT
Manufacturing Vehicle Operations is an internal department established to consolidate multiple vehicle servicing operations from across the JLR Enterprise. The key objective for the team is to deliver exceptional levels of customer experience across a number of key areas, with multiple expansion opportunities already in progress;
Road Side Assist & Port Returns Management Vehicle Servicing Management Vehicle Warranty VIP vehicle preparation and PDI Gated Launch PDI & Maintenance
Our technicians are responsible for ensuring vehicles are diagnosed and repaired in a timely and robust manner; we pride ourselves in fully understanding all the symptoms and issues of a vehicle, and subsequently delivering Right First Time repairs.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Carrying out whole vehicle mechanical maintenance and rectification Carry out vehicle fault diagnostics Strip and rebuild or replace all vehicle components - interior trim and hardware Repairing and replacement of major and minor units. Pre Delivery Inspections (PDI) and Warranty updates. Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time
WHAT YOU NEED
Time served recognised indentured/certificated Advanced Apprenticeship or Armed Forces equivalent (I.e. Advanced Modern Apprenticeship, Craft Apprenticeship, IMI certificated Advanced Apprenticeship). As a minimum - City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Automotive/Engineering discipline ideally motor vehicle repair (light or heavy) An understanding of electrical / mechanical faults & diagnostics Must recognise safe working practices, including Health & Safety and environmental regulations Full UK driving licence required (6 points maximum)
