Job Summary:

The My Epic Gear Marketing team is responsible for developing strategy and executing go-to-market initiatives for My Epic Gear, Vail Resorts' innovative gear subscription service. The team leads projects and marketing tactics from ideation to execution to scale the My Epic Gear business.

This position is focused on driving the acquisition of new members. The position also has a high focus on outbound marketing channels (email, search, paid media, social). The individual will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including omnichannel and guest lifecycle marketing, business and channel analytics, guest research and operations business partners, to execute strategies that attract, influence, and convert new members into My Epic Gear. The ideal candidate is curious, creative, and excels in critical thinking, with the ability to independently lead go-to-market acquisition plans. A strong sense of ownership, organization, and high learning agility in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Job Responsibilities:

Use data-driven insights to shape product strategies, messaging, and marketing tactics to grow My Epic Gear members.

Lead acquisition campaigns across both owned and paid channels (e.g., search, social media, display, email) to drive traffic, generate leads, and convert potential members to achieve acquisition growth objectives.

Collaborate closely with outbound marketing teams (email, digital, paid media, and communications) to define, create, and deploy compelling content, tactics, and landing pages that engage target audiences and drive conversions.

Analyze guest data to refine audience segments and marketing tactics, ensuring campaigns are effectively targeted to maximize return across the marketing funnel.

Work with the strategic research team to execute guest insight surveys that inform acquisition marketing strategies.

Support business results reporting for My Epic Gear, analyzing trends and insights to recommend optimizations and actions that drive performance.

Collaborate with the digital marketing team to develop and refine content that brings the My Epic Gear marketing strategy to life.

Ideate, develop, and propose new marketing strategies to engage Vail Resorts’ guests effectively, translating guest insights into actionable plans and gaining alignment for execution.

Collaborate with Member Renewal & Test and Learn teams on member insights, segmentation strategies, and opportunities to optimize content and user experience on myepicgear.com and resort websites to meet business objectives.

Provide support to the broader My Epic Gear Marketing team, contributing to overall results and gaining exposure to the full scope of the business.

 

Job Requirements:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree required.

3 to 5 years of marketing experience.

Proven track record of successfully executing marketing plans, taking ownership of results, and paying close attention to detail.

Solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and implement solutions.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories across full-cycle projects.

Demonstrated learning agility, with the ability to quickly adapt to new skills and responsibilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating with cross-functional partners.

Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; self-starter who requires minimal supervision.

Strong management of multiple stakeholders, both independently and collaboratively across departments.

Outdoor or ski experience is not required.

 

Preferred:

Experience in acquisition marketing and/or building subscription businesses.

Strong storytelling and presentation skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with analytical teams and use data to inform decisions.

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $76,841 - $85,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
